The line lay is awesome and the reel itself is smooth as silk. I handled a Miravel 1000 also which I feel would have been just fine in my 1000 size but again zero regrets going with the Stradic FL.

If you plan to use braid with a leader the smaller spool diameter isn’t an issue but drag start up force may be a littler higher.
