2006年4月4日 · I want to build an interior stairway with oak treads & side skirts; and painted risers (probably white) My wife is concerned about the white painted risers getting scuffed. Does anyone know what paint to use to prevent said scuffing or the best (read: easiest) way to clean the aforementioned scuffing? Thanks very much.

2021年7月26日 · I am a DIY’er who recently converted carpeted stairs to oak treads and risers. I am not an expert, so yes, the seams are not as tight as an experienced carpenter might be able to do. I have seams along where the risers meet the skirt board. It’s nothing big. Let’s call it as thick as a few sheets of copy paper, at worst.
