I currently still have the stand open so everything underneath is visible, but that could be changed if desired. It's built of virola wood planed to dimensions of 3" x 1.75".

2013年5月12日 · 40 breeder can use 1 x 4 with no structural issues. Just be sure that the "green" boards that red fish/blue fish showed in the above thread do no touch the ground surface as they only are for keeping the stand square. The purple boards are what holds the weight.

2018年2月13日 · Looks great! I have a 40 Breeder as well with a DIY stand and went with a 20-gallon high sump instead of the long to get more floor space under the stand. I have a similar pump but a little larger, The DCP-6500 and have it dialed way back. The 4000 should be a much better fit. Looking forward to following your build.
