They don’t have the best spectrum and lack some controllability. IMO, the best budget LED reef light on the market is the Noopsyche K7 V3 Pro. They’re currently on sale for around $200 a piece.

I’m only planning on doing some soft corals and lps corals in the tank and just want to make sure this light is sufficient enough for those corals, it doesn’t really show too much specs when I look for descriptions of them.

Reef lighting requires the correct spectrum with peaks in the 420nm and 660nm as well as sufficient intensity for your sized aquarium. If your on a budget, have a look at Nicrew Hypereef 100w, if you tank is a 4 footer, two would be required. There are other options you can review.

2020年8月10日 · The lights are warrantied for 5 years but the PSUs only for 2, so I needed to get a new one. Not that expensive, like $29 or so, but I found the controller for around $200. Thing about the controller is that it has 8 channels (each tile uses two (white and blue), the bar uses one), AND it functions as the power supply unit.

2017年3月16日 · Im hoping the Galaxy hydro is not too far off what the display has being their all led lights. The frag tank is 29 inches long X 12 inches wide. and the Galaxy Hydro is 15 inches long X 8 inches wide with (I think) 120 degree lenses. Most corals will be towards the center of the tank. Im thinking this should work.
