The indy found the turbo was going and showed me the issue (this should be another class action suit). total cost 2074.35. BMW remanufacture turbo was 1,419, installation kit for the turbo 130.11, and 525 labor. The timing chain was $2,424.

2020年9月20日 · I don't own a turbo car, but I always hear of these being an expensive repair. Have costs come down over the years? I see a replacement turbo at FCP for $700. So, $1400/pair. 20 hours labor @ $125/hr would be $2500. So, I am guessing this is a $5000k repair at an indy and $7k repair at a dealer. Is that the right ballpark?

2018年6月8日 · In 80k service, the technician noticed that the turbo oil feed lines and return lines are leaking oil. BMW's estimate for replacing these lines was a whopping $9777.00. They claim that the engine has to come out of the car and turbos have to be removed to replace these lines. Still a hefty price for replacing a couple of $10 parts.
