I tested my built in May 2006 Toshiba 30HF66 (purchased new in 2008) which is calibrated for a totally dark room (low contrast setting) with a Kill-a-watt power meter and it averages around 80 watts fluctuating based on screen brightness. This is a 30" 16:9 set.
