2020年2月18日 · When the "attracted to a magnet " started decades ago magnets were mainly the old horseshoe or bar magnets ( Alnico Ferrite) and were relatively weak compared to todays rare earth magnets NIB magnets which are generally way more than 10X stronger and are way more common now than the oldies.

2012年6月13日 · It is most probably a plated cent worth little or no premium. However, please treat it like it is a real 1944 steel cent (valuable & rare) and don't damage it by cleaning (or dropping it onto a table). You can weigh the coin to determine how it compares to the 2.67 grams of a normal steel cent or 3.11 of a normal copper cent.

2018年2月6日 · The 1943 cents were made from steel plated with zinc. Because of the steel core, they are magnetic. I believe these are the only magnetic US coins issued to date. In 1944, the returned to the standard 95% copper alloy which was not magnetic. Now, a very small number of 1943 cents were struck using copper planchets...likely left over from 1942.

If you wanted to be convinced, you could 1- use a magnet to test if it is magnetic (steel cents will be attracted to a magnet, plated cents won't) and 2- weigh it, since most steel cents are closer to 2.7ish grams and ...

2014年6月25日 · I have a question I have a 1944 wheat cent .I was going threw my wheaties and I notesed that there's a 3 at the end of the last 4 the tail of the 3 loops right under the 4 you can't see it with the naked eye but with the eye loop you could see it real clear.I would send a pic.I dropped my phone so many times.it don't take good pics
