A 13-year-old who was struck by a pickup truck near a Market Basket store in Leominster died in the hospital Monday.

An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old died after being hit by a pickup truck in Leominster on Monday, according to the Worcester County district attorney’s office.

The juvenile, who was not identified, was struck just after 6 p.m. by a Chevy Silverado near the grocery store on Sack Boulevard, police said.
