The Internal Revenue Service announced on Dec. 20 its plans to issue an additional Economic Impact Payment, better known as a stimulus check, starting later this month. Around 1 million taxpayers who didn't claim it while filing for their 2021 tax returns will receive the money now, according to an IRS press release.
