Just under 20,500 units of the Escape Plug-In Hybrid and Corsair Grand Touring have been produced with battery cells that may be susceptible to thermal venting

DETROIT (WKRC) - The Ford Company has recalled thousands of Escape and Lincoln plug-in hybrid SUVs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ), Ford is recalling 20,484 Escape and Lincoln Corsairs due to a battery issue.
