The Israeli military has warned Lebanese citizens not to return to 60 villages in the south of the country, three days into a ceasefire after more than a year of fighting with the Shia armed group Hezbollah.

The agreement halts fighting between Israel and Hezbollah for 60 days, as negotiators aim to stop Lebanon’s deadliest war in decades.

With a Hezbollah-Israel ceasefire on the horizon, a UN resolution from 2006 has resurfaced as a blueprint for ending the war.
