The Reno City Council has approved a $60,000 temporary fence in south Reno that will allow Virginia Range horses to reach water after a housing development cut off their access to Steamboat Creek.

The permanent fence project which was discussed in May 22 council meeting had many frustrated with budgeting and the planning for how horses would access their new water source at Alexander Lake.
