The Canadian government introduced the Digital News Subscription Tax Credit that Brandon Sun subscribers can claim on their personal income tax and benefit return from the years 2020 to 2024.

According to Jaju, the digital news subscription industry, valued at approximately Rs 120 crore, currently generates about Rs 21.6 crore in tax revenue at the 18 per cent GST rate.
