The museum collection that documents the life of Davenport-born jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke is making a move this spring. Currently housed in the basement of Common Chord at 129 N.
The museum holds facts and artifacts of Bix Beiderbecke, one of the most popular jazz musicians of the 1920s — and also a Davenport native. Beiderbecke was also a famous composer and cornetist.
Each episode unfolds to a soundtrack of jazz music in the style of Bix Beiderbecke performed by Frank Ricotti with Kenny Baker as featured cornet soloist. Extensive use is made of leitmotifs for ...
