Parkland Corp. began pumping jet fuel made from canola and animal fats into Air Canada planes on Tuesday, the first use of domestically produced low-carbon fuel to lower an airline’s emissions.

The first commercial batch of low-carbon aviation fuel in the country has been made in B.C. and purchased by a major airline. As Michelle Ghoussoub reports, experts say it could slash carbon emissions but the costs of scaling it up would be massive.
