A man and woman were taken into custody by the Phelps County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday in connection to the death of their 14-month-old daughter in 2023.

The parents of a Phelps County baby who died of a fentanyl overdose last year are in custody. Caleb Deon Gorman, 25, of Salem, and Corissa Dessie Botkin, 24, of Rolla, are charged with child abuse resulting in death.

Deputies with the Phelps County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) arrested 25-year-old Caleb Gorman of Salem on Tuesday who is accused in the death of his infant daughter in March 2023.

ROLLA, Mo. (KY3) - Phelps County prosecutors charged a mother and father wanted in the death of an infant in March of 2023. Caleb Deon Gormon and Corrissa Botkin, of Salem, Mo., face charges of abuse or neglect of a child. A judge ordered Gormon held without bond.
