Young Red Angus strives to provide customers with genetics that will excel not only with longevity in their herd but performance in carcass merit. Located in Western Kansas, Young Red Angus is at the forefront of raising cattle on cover crops in tough and dry conditions. Raising cattle on cover crops works extremely well in our situation. It improves soil health in our farming operation and it allows us to wean calves in excellent condition. After weaning, our replacements are in great condition for the breeding season. Our bulls keep on growing on our winter cover crop mixes and in the springtime they are ready to go to work for our customers.
