I posted earlier that we were having second thoughts about hiking the Dingle Way due to not being able to find accommodations. Well…after much searching and phoning we did find enough places to stay… Bruno B的完整评论
Hello, I've read that almost 50% of the Dingle Way is on small roads. Can you tell me if most are paved? I've also read that there's a decent chunk on beaches. Are the trails on the beaches easy to walk on or deep sand? Thanks, Susan

I hiked the entire Dingle Way in September. Probably about half is on small remote roads. There are long beach sections, but at least when I was there, very easy walking along the packed sand near water edge. There are also mountain segments and farm field segments that will likely be very wet, muddy and boggy so plan accordingly with foot wear and gaiters. We booked our own BandBs and took bus between Tralee and Shannon airport. A fabulous journey, you won’t regret going
I would like to walk 3-4 days on the Dingle Way early July. I can manage up to 15 miles/day, but don't mind shorter days if there are great diversions. Which section would you undertake? I am thinking of starting in Dingle and then heading clockwise. Thoughts?

Hey, Yes clockwise is a good idea - you could walk from Tralee to Dingle in 3 days, stopping in Camp and Annascaul along the way. It's between 11 and 13 miles for each of these …
Hey, Yes clockwise is a good idea - you could walk from Tralee to Dingle in 3 days, stopping in Camp and Annascaul along the way. It's between 11 and 13 miles for each of these sections so not too short or not too long! I actually work for a hiking company called Hillwalk Tours and would really recommend the Dingle Way - it's a great way to see authentic Ireland :)
Hi, I would appreciate hearing about the descent from the arm of Brandon Mountain on the Dingle Way walk. Specifically, just how bad is it in poor weather? What is the alternate route if one avoids that section? I've done the Coast to Coast in the UK three times so am familiar with steep descents using poles. Thank you.
