We are spending a couple of weeks in Manhattan in August and are quite tempted to trek up to see a show at Daryl's while we are there. Only problem is--we won't have access to a car. What are some options by train or bus on a Friday night? Happy to stay overnight somewhere close by and head back into the city the next morning, equally happy to wander back in the middle of the night if it is an option. I know it is pretty far, but it would be worth it for us. Thanks!

Daryl's House is a bit of a trek from NYC. You can take a train out of Grand Central Station on the Harlem Line to the Pawling station. Depending on where you are in Manhattan, it could take 5 min to 1/2 hour on the subway to get to Grand Central. It's approximately 1 1/2 hour train ride to Pawling and the trains run about every hour and then you will have to get a taxi or an Uber to Daryl's House. There is a small bed and breakfast about 5 minutes from the venue, but again, you will need to get a taxi or Uber which can be somewhat scarce in this area. There is wonderful hiking in this area and a fun farmers market on Saturdays if you wanted to make the trip worthwhile and have something to do before going to the venue or the next morning.
