Hi, Sorry for the delay in answering! I just now saw this... We troll wire line in deep water for very large striped bass. When a fish is on, the boat is taken out of gear. So we do not drag fish behind the boat for miles. It's a very sporting way to catch fish. And the fish we release have a tremendous chance of staying alive after we release them. We catch bass in the 40, 50, and even 60 pound range on a regular basis. That's why we fish the way we do. Two lines can be out at the same time. Any more than that will tangle.
