Are masks mandatory here? I read some scathing reviews on Groupon trashing this poor place. It’s small and people seem to not be giving it a chance? Is this worth $35 for two to visit coming from Orlando? We are 30s just a couple so we appreciate some old school stuff.

Orange County is still mandating that masks be worn while in the park. Your admission covers a 2 hour guided tour that includes our wildlife encounter, Native American/old Florida village presentation, our gator feeding and a zoo talk (substituted for jungle swamp cruise due to physical distancing requirements). If you are look for something slower than the big parks, lot's of fresh air and a glimpse at what Florida used to be like, then yes, it is worth the $35 for two admissions.
How many restrooms are available? We have younger children with frequent bathroom trips.

The place is pretty small, so even if you're at the farthest part of the park on the boardwalks, it's only a 8-10 minute walk back to the bathroom inside the welcome center/main building. There could be a bathroom in the building that's in the middle of the property where they do the animal show, but I don't know for sure. Otherwise the bathroom is in the building when you first come in to buy your tickets and where they have a gift shop and some snacks. The bathrooms smell strongly of sulfur, because they are on a septic system (being way out in the country not need city water lines). Overall, this is a FANTASTIC place for kids and families. SO much to see and learn. Enoy!

Our guided tours are about 2 hours long, afterward, you can wander at your leisure and check out the animals we have on exhibit. The 1st rotation starts at 10 am. We will start your tour at the next closest activity time to your arrival. You should not wait more than 45 minutes for any program here at the park. We do ask that if you plan to arrive later in the day, you arrive before 3 pm for the last rotation of the day.
Hi. I am mobility challenged and require a scooter to get around. After reading all of the posts, I am concerned that your "old Florida" atmosphere may not be appropriate for my mode of transportation. Should I skip this venue or will my scooter be OK ?

Your scooter will be fine on most of the concrete and boardwalk areas. Going over the bridge to the Native American/Old Florida Village may be a bit of a challenge, however we should have staff available to assist with that. The docks to the Jungle Swamp Cruise require you to walk about 10 steps to reach the boat.
